Hi
We have a slat frame futon which sits very low off the floor. Had it for years.
We love the lowness of our Floor' bed so want to keep the frame but want to change from our current 100% cotton futon mattress as we feel like its causing us body aches.
My wife especially has loads of hip and lower back aches. Can't say for sure if its the mattress but we want to try.
We can fit a 200 x 150 mattress on the frame. The frame is like 3 slanted pieces which connect to make a frame.
Which mattress would you recommend?

Hi Moiz,

Thank you for your enquiry.

Mattresses for futons are a specialised field, as they are usually used not only as a mattress, but also as a seating when the bed is not being used. This means that they have to be extra flexible and that would automatically exclude pocket sprung products. This would leave you with either latex (Fusion)or hybrid foam (Hybrid), which are both flexible and do not have a internal spring unit.

Although we have suggested that latex or hybrid foam may be suitable, without knowledge of your body weights and preferred feel, it is impossible to make a specific recommendation. If you would like to call our office on 0161 437 4419 to provide these details to one of our advisors, we will then be able to make a recommendation.

Kind regards.
