Please suggest the best bed/mattress.

Maximum size bed is Kingsize due to existing fitted furniture. My husband is 15 & half stone and I weigh 14 stone. We sleep back to back. In the past I have preferred sprung bases as I find platform bases to hard at the edge. We both prefer a medium feel. My husband suffers from an occasional bad back and I have generalised joint & muscle pain from neck to knee. 2 drawers would be preferable. Budget is not the biggest concern but aim to spend a maximum of £2k altogether including headboard.

Body weights dictate the spring tension required for the appropriate support and for you both a mediums spring tension would be ideal. We would suggest that you view the products in our Artisan range and in particular the Artisan Naturals or the Artisan Bespoke 004, both of which can have the spring tension selected as a medium. Both mattresses will provide the same overall feel with the Naturals having 85% natural upholstery and the 004 100%.
All our mattresses in the Artisan range are normally paired with a true edge sprung base. This means that the edge will be firm to avoid the feeling of roll out occurring when you sleep close to the edge of the bed. These two mattresses have sufficient upholstery to prevent you finding the firm edge too hard, although our advice would be not to sit or rest on the side of the mattress for any long periods.
