Sheraton sweet sleeper
Hello - I hope you can help, as researching mattresses is now making my head hurt... I am 9.5st (side sleeper with back issues), my partner is 14st and front sleeper (and sleeps hot). Our current mattress is an awful Silentnight 7-zoned memory foam one which has dipped on both sides after about a year. We had the best sleep ever on a Sheraton Sweet Sleeper bed and wanted to buy one but the Mattress size is wrong for our UK frame. On researching it seems the mattress is basically a Sealy posturepedic plush top with latex layer, but have read mixed reviews about these - suggestion seems to be get a pocket sprung mattress and add a latex topper - am interested in the Origins Pocket Latex 1500 but not sure if this will be too firm for my partner. Would you be able to recommend something that would achieve the effect of the sweet sleeper?
Thanks
Cassie
Hi Cassie,
Thank you for your enquiry.
The first thing to say is that we have been unable to locate any specific details of the construction and upholstery in terms of GSM (grams per square metre) of the Sheraton Sweet Sleeper, so are unable to suggest a comparable product.
We do not make nor recommend pillow top mattresses for the reasons detailed in this article. We do not make mattresses which are comparable in feel to pillow top mattresses either. As far as the Origins Pocket Latex 1500 is concerned, this will provide a firm feel for people of your body weights are is not suitable for side sleepers. With your particular body weights and sleeping habits, we would suggest that a medium tension/feel mattress would be most appropriate. Please view the Origins Comfort 1000, which has a standard medium tension spring unit together with layers of soft man made upholstery, ideal for side sleepers.
If you preference is for natural upholstery, please view the Artisan Luxury, which can have the spring tension selected to suit and has soft layers of natural upholstery, again ideal for a side sleeper. We trust that the above is of help to you, but if you require any further advice or guidance, please call our office on 0161 437 4419 and speak with one of our advisors.
Kind regards.
