A customer asked

I am looking to purchase a king size bed and wanted to look for some advice . I have been looking at the V- Spring beds the models Regal Superb or the Tiara Superb do you have equivalent models ?

I have rheumatoid arthritis and a arthritic left hip so I am looking for a comfortable bed. I have a Millbrook zip and link super king size bed 2,240 pocket sprung divan at the moment . I am worried about the tension of the bed as I am 5.4 ft in the 18/20 stone group I don't know anymore what I want as my health condition dictates . I think that I have information over load . We where recommend by are son as he purchased a bed from your company and he was very satisfied with it but I thought it was very firm as we stayed with them . Also we are thinking of purchasing a second King size bed for my husband he is 5.10ft 14/16 stone group and he has chronic lower back problem . Thank you Ann >

Hi Ann,

Thanks for your question.

With Arthritis or any other pains generally you will need some pressure relief so we'd steer you away from anything too firm in the top layers.

Our comparison to the Vi Spring Regal Superb is the Artisan Bespoke 004 and to the Tiara Superb is the Artisan Bespoke 002.

The Bespoke 004 has a true medium upholstery giving that slight sink but not too much. The Bespoke 002 has that medium upholstery again but this mattress has a springy and bouncy sensation due to it's construction with a dual layered spring system.

Given your body weight, I would suggest you have a firm spring tension and purchase a topper to soften the top layers. Your Husband is within a Medium spring tension to get the right level of support.

Bodyweight Spring tension
Upto 16 Stone / 50-101kg Medium (1.4mm)
16 Stone / 101kg Upwards Firm (1.6mm)
Available in Bespoke Products (Please Call) Soft (1.2mm)

I hope this has helped answer your questions fully but if you do have any further queries please don't hesitate to contact our office on 0161 437 4419.

Kind Regards, Lee.
