What's the weight of a Pocket Sprung Mattress?

Thanks for getting in touch about mattress weights and sizes. Knowing the approximate weight of a new mattress can be helpful if you are a lone sleeper and need to consider turning the mattress over, or if you have an Ottoman Base. If the mattress is too heavy for an Ottoman base, you will struggle to lift it and then stand there holding the mattress in the air whilst asking someone else to get what you need from under the bed. I know this from personal experience. My Artisan Naturals double mattress was too heavy for my Ottoman, and this is what I found myself doing.

Our mattresses weigh considerably more than those from other retailers, as we include a much higher volume of upholstery fillings inside them. To ensure even settlement and allow you to use both sides—unlike one-sided, online boxed mattresses—they should be turned once a month.
