Why does the Artisan Bespoke 002 only have 2508 springs?
Why does the Artisan Bespoke only have 2508 springs?
This would be 1254 per layer? Where the Artisan Bespoke has 1600 on one layer?
I was wondering why there is a reduction of 396 springs per layer?
I prefer the mattresses with more spring in them but I don't understand why this mattresses shouldn't have more springs?
Thanks,
Andrew
Hi Andrew,
Thank you for your enquiry.
As you know the Artisan Bespoke 002 has a double layer of springs with a total spring count in a standard king size of 2508 with 1254 in each layer. The Artisan Bespoke has 1600 springs in a standard king size, with those springs being of a smaller diameter than those in the 002. All mattress descriptions are based upon a standard king size and the number of spring contained will increase or decrease dependent upon the size of mattress required. These mattresses are similar in feel to the Vi-Spring Tiara and Herald Superb respectively, an both have more springs with slightly less diameter than these two comparisons.
Incidentally, we note your preference for more springs, but would advise that for people of average body weight(s) (10 - 17 stones), 1000 good quality springs are sufficient to provide the correct level of support. So although we slightly exceed the number in the Vi-Spring models, these help provide that close comparison in terms of overall feel. Mattresses with spring counts of 5 to 15 thousand are merely a gimmick to make the customer feel they are getting more for their money, when in fact the layers of mini springs used in these mattresses replace layers of upholstery and in our opinion, do not bring anything extra to the table in terms of comfort.
We trust that this helps, but if you require any further advice or guidance, please call our office on 0333 258 1038 and speak with one of our advisors.
Kind regards.
