Coil sprung matresses
Why do you demonise coil sprung mattresses? We have had one for over 15 years and it's the most wonderful comfortable mattress I've ever known and it's still in as good condition as when we first had it. It has a lovely 'give' to it, which I haven't found with any of the pocket sprung mattresses I have tried. The only reason we need a new one is we have bought a king size bed and our old mattress is only a double. Everything now is so stiff and thick and heavily padded, it feels like lying on a lumpy heap of sand bags! Memory foam is out as we hate the feel of it. I despair of ever finding anything I love as much as our old mattress now.
Dear Rachel,
Thank you for your enquiry. We at John Ryan By Design feel that pocket springs are far superior as they reduce motion disturbance as each spring is individually pocketed as opposed to an open coil mattress which are much cheaper to produce, where it is one continuous spring. Many people like yourself get on very well with these types of mattresses but the pocket spring mattress, like our most popular Artisan Naturals, is still a more supportive spring which can have the tension selected to give the correct level of support for an individuals body weight.

I hope this explains the difference between the springs and if you would like to consider a pocket sprung mattress please do not hesitate to contact the office on 0161 437 4419.
Kind Regards
Michaela
