Help in choosing right mattress for our needs

We need a new mattress for a superking bed. We are 6’1″ @ 84kg and 5’10 @ 76kg.
For the past 5 years we have had a 12″ deep memory foam mattress (cheap non-branded) and although we liked the feel at first I always overheat in it (my partner does not). The memory foam on my side in particular now has indentations on it from my favourite sleeping position and these make any other position uncomfortable. I turn over many times in the night (possibly due to overheating).
Things we like: Cannot feel each other moving as it does not transfer to the other side. Originally the feeling of melting into the support (this no longer happens as it is worn out in 5 years).
I would like to be a back sleeper but always tend to finally find comfort on my belly. I have had lower back problems a few times (although not currently) and have a bulging disc on my neck which is problematic when I sleep on my belly as my neck is twisted too much. My partner tends toward side and back sleeping ( and snoring).
I think I like the sound of a 100% Natural Latex mattress (possibly the fusion 3) do you think this will be well suited?
On another site I read that with latex you should not get it wet, so for someone who sweats a lot like myself I will need a waterproof cover – is this true and can you recommend one if it is?
How long will your latex mattress last, approximately, with regular use of a couple in their 30s?

memory foam is notorious for causing heat issues as it relies on heat retention in order to adapt to your body movements.
Our Hybrid Foam range will give a similar feel to Memory Foam but without the heat issues associated. The Fusion 3 will again give a similar sink in sensation to Memory Foam but again without the heat issues as latex is quite a cooler material overall. At your body weights this will give a medium to soft feel.
Latex is great for pressure relief and with it a being a cooler material should help alleviate the heat issues. Please note however that natural fillings will give you the coolest sleep surface overall. It might also be worth having a look at our Artisan range of mattresses. These are traditional pocket sprung mattresses with those natural fillings.
