Are the pocket springs in a medium firm mattress a heavy grade than a medium one. If not what makes the mattress firmer?

The first thing to understand is that pocket springs can be soft, medium or firm and are body weight dependent as detailed in the article attached.

Thesprings/”> gauge of wire is adjusted and to achieve the firmer springs the gauge of the wire is thicker than it would be to achieve a soft spring, so we suppose the answer to your question is yes, although how you manage to achieve this with one spring is a mystery.
