Topper for allergy sufferer
Dear John and Ryan, I honestly love your website and found the comments very useful. I am searching for a mattress topper and am looking at wedo at the Visco Sensations Laytec T2000 Mattress Topper . I have a very hard pocket sprung mattress and due to my small and bony posture it’s too hard so need some cushioning. I’m allergic to feather and need a topper (not memory foam) that is still firm as I do get lower back pain if I sink in too much. I have read in one of your answers a while back were you suggested a latex topper – is this the one?

Hi Liesle.
This topper is a synthetic latex – and I agree it may be the answer you are looking for.
Not overly expensive (around £160 for a Kingsize) and has an acceptable depth of 5cm.
Bear in mind though that this product is relatively quite supportive which will give you the cushioning support you require.
With this in mind I would also consider complementing the Laytex topper further with a very soft microfibre topper to cushion your bones further – (look at The Ultimate Microfibre or Luxury Microfibre Soak and Sleep).
