Kluft mattresses are dipping

A customer asked

We bought two Kluft queen beds for $15,000 each. Unfortunately they are not very comfortable. The matresses now have very deep body impressions and it feels like we are now lying on something very hard that heats up over the night and makes it doubly uncomfortable. I know the mattress business is a scam business but I would like to know who sells a decent bed that doesn't cost a small fortune. Obviously the expensive beds are no better. We are so uncomfortable we are willing to buy new beds after one year. Shame on Bloomingdales for selling this junk and at exorbitant prices!!!

Hi Fayre.

Sorry to hear of your troubles.

Had a quick look at Kluft website, don't think we have them in this country.

What amazes me though, is that the overall construction of upholstery in their signatory range is a combination of man made and natural fibres.

Apart from a core of latex, it does seem to be built around layers of foam.

For the money you paid we would of expected a mattress so natural, it bleats now and again.

We really feel for you and hope that at the very least, your dilemma will give our readers pause for thought.

What you've bought and where you bought it from and more importantly - how much you've paid should absolutely insure that ANY complaint whatsoever with the product should be put right - No Question.

Apart from unsanitary of course.

I personally think you were ill advised in the store and you could have definitely got more mattress for your money.

But, and as harsh at it may sound - if you spend .000 on a couple of beds then you really should have known what you are buying right down to the last stitch.

You should of questioned that salesperson to within an inch of his/her life.

For thirty thousand dollars I would have wanted to see sweat dripping from his/her brow.

etc.

Finally.

Ryan and I don' t consider ourselves to be in a scam business.

This industry, just like any other in the consumer industry does have it's fair share of greed.

John and Ryan.
