Do you have a comparison to Millbrook luxury mattress?
Hi, The wife and myself were about to purchase a millbrook luxury 1700 pocket spring king size bed/divan at £1039 from sleepright /carpetright. Then we found your site!
Would you be able to recommend a comparative bed?
Would not mind a divan or bedstead would this make a difference to the mattress?
I am 17 stone and the wife is 10.5 stone and we both liked the firm bed we tried. We have a cheap memory foam mattress at the moment and did not really get on with it from the start. Kind regards, Richard. >
Hi Richard,
First of all I confirm that I am unable to do a comparison to the Millbrook Luxury 1700 mattress because, unlike us, they do not provide specific GSM (grams per square metre) details for the internal constituent parts.
I have viewed this mattress on the Carpet Right site and note that the price of £1039.00 relates to the mattress only and does not include the base.
Given that you both like a firm feel in a mattress, despite the weight differential, and assuming your budget is in or around £1000 to £1300, I would suggest that you look at our Artisan 1500 mattress, which could be provided with a split tension of medium for your wife, providing her with a firm feel, and firm for you.

6 | 1200 gsm Cashmere Hair Pad as Insulator |
7 | 1500 Spun Bond Pocket Springs (Soft/Med or Firm) |
Total GSM | 4300gsm |
This, together with a matching divan base, would retail at £1275.00, however, if you wish to purchase the mattress only, this would be £845.00 and this mattress could be placed on a bedstead, if required.
I trust that this helps, if you require further assistance please give the office a call on 0161 437 4419
Kind regards Mike.
