A customer asked

Hi! I have just found this site and really hope you can help.We currently have a memory foam mattress which has lost all memory and it is sinking in the middle of the kingsize bed.The frame is a wooden bed frame with slats under the mattress. We want to buy a new mattress and would like a firmer feel to it while still feeling luxurious and deep.I like the sinking feeling of a very firm memory foam but my husband prefers a more springy feel. He also complains of being hot at night on our current mattress. We are approx 90kgs and 80kgs and our budget is currently up to £800 for a kingsize... however we will shortly be purchasing a superking bed and would also like a recommendation for this as the budget is considerably more flexible. Many thanks!

Hi Nadia,

Thanks for your question.

memory foam relies on heat retention in order to adapt to your body movements. This is the main reason many people encounter heat issues.

We aren't currently retailing Foam or Latex mattresses for at least 16 weeks as we can't source the same quality of product and as such we aren't willing to compromise on our quality.

Given your preference of feel and body weights I would recommend having a look at our Origins Pocket Latex 1500. This is a traditional pocket sprung mattress with an in-built latex top layer giving that firmer support overall. You will get that support from the springs inside with that latex top layer giving a similar feel to firm memory foam.

Bodyweight Spring tension
Upto 16 Stone / 50-101kg Medium (1.4mm)
16 Stone / 101kg Upwards Firm (1.6mm)
Available in Bespoke Products (Please Call) Soft (1.2mm)

The slight issue here is that a King Size is just outside of your budget.

I hope this has answered your questions fully but if you do have any further queries please don't hesitate to contact our office on 0161 437 4419.

Kind Regards, Lee.
