A customer asked

I have just discovered I am allergic to Latex and so need to replace my mattress. I dont want memory foam again as I find it too hot though like the 'sinking in' quality of it and liked the similar feel of my latex one. I think the next best thing for me might be a pocket sprung mattress with a pillow top but with only natural components and materials used to minimise any further sensitivities cropping up. There dont seem to be many if any atall, which are described as soft, and so I worry I may end up with something much too firm for my liking and size....I am about 9 stone and 5'3'' tall. Can you advise what you think might be the best thing to buy which comes nearest to this criteria...I dont have an unlimited amount of money to spend on it and so would prefer a bottom to mid price range product if atall possible. Many thanks

Hi Jenny

Thanks for your question

At your height and body weight, I would recommend a soft tension spring. The softest mattress we have in our range, with 100% natural fibre fillings is the Artisan Luxury.
Price wise the Artisan range are not the cheapest mattresses, but naturals fibres do come at a price.

Artisan Luxury mattress

To bring the overall cost down, you could look at the Artisan Naturals mattress with 85% natural fibres, has more medium feel top upholstery layers than the Luxury, but you could then look to add a mattress topper, to create that extra soft top layer to sink into.

If you require any further assistance please call the office on 0161 437 4419.

Kind Regards
