The Origins Pocket 1500 has a one inch foam layer which is the insulator layer on top of the springs so should not cause you to overheat.   The first layer of the mattress is 300gsm of wool which again should not cause you to overheat as wool is a great filling to use as it wicks away moisture.  However as you are a hot sleeper, I cannot 100% guarantee that you will not overheat on this mattress.  You would be better with a mattress that contains natural fillings as these create the coolest sleeping surfaces.

The mattresses in our Artisan Range all contain natural fillings and as you have been looking at the Origins Pocket 1500 which has a medium comfort layer together with a medium spring tension, I would recommend the Artisan Naturals.  This mattress contains 85% natural fillings and gives an overall medium comfort from the top upholstery layers.   I would need to know what the body weights are of the people who will be sleeping on the mattress together with heights and preferred feel in order to make sure that this mattress is suitable. With a pocket sprung mattress, they are made up of two parts, the springs provide the support which is dictated by body weight whereas the fillings provide the comfort.
