Pocket sprung or 100% latex for my slatted bed, which is the best for back and pressure pain relief as my current off the shelf memory foam mattress does not work for me.

Hello Jeffrey,

Thank you for your enquiry.

Whilst you have indicated that you have back and pressure pain, you have not provided details of your body weight, which is crucial when deciding upon the right product, whether pocket sprung or latex. We note that you currently have a memory foam product, which is not working for you and this may be in part to the speed of response (return to shape) of this particular type of mattress.

Bodyweight Spring tension
Upto 16 Stone / 50-101kg Medium (1.4mm)
16 Stone / 101kg Upwards Firm (1.6mm)
Available in Bespoke Products (Please Call) Soft (1.2mm)

The main reason for backache or pressure pain is that there is either too much support in the mattress or not enough, which is why, as stated above, the most important factor is body weight. Any mattress will need to provide the right level of support to alleviate the issue you are experiencing, but it will not eliminate it altogether.

Please call our office on 0161 437 4419 with your weight details, at which point we will be able to provide more specific advice as to the suitability of a particular mattress.

Kind regards.
