Hello there,
So sorry to ask yet another child based question. I'm looking to buy a good quality mattress for my two children. One is 4 and the other nearly 7. They are both in single beds and from what I can gather they need pocket sprung with a good amount of plush on top??
Many thanks for any help you can offer

Hi Liz,

Thank you for your enquiry.

The main problem with buying a bed to suit your children at this age is that within a few years their body weights and preferred feel are likely to change. Most mattresses of the type of construction you refer to are made specifically for people from age 15 up.

The body weight is what dictates the spring tension and unfortunately, as children, they do not have enough weight to gain any benefit from the springs. Whilst we do not make mattresses for children, John Lewis do and they are of decent quality.

We trust that this helps.

Kind Regards Gary
