A customer asked

Hello, I am someone who fidgets a lot in bed, so I often switch between lying on my side and stomach. As I am also adverse to high temperatures I do not believe the standard memory foam beds to be good for me, and so am looking for advice and recommendations as to what could be suitable.
Thank you.

Hi,

Thank you for your question.

From the information you have provided, I would recommend having a traditional pocket sprung mattress that has natural fillings.   Natural fillings give a much cooler sleeping surface than a mattress that has synthetic fillings.    I would suggest looking at our Artisan Naturals mattress which has 85% natural fillings and will give you a medium feel from those comfort layers.  I would also recommend a medium spring tension as this will then give you the correct support for your body weight.

Bodyweight Spring tension
Upto 16 Stone / 50-101kg Medium (1.4mm)
16 Stone / 101kg Upwards Firm (1.6mm)
Available in Bespoke Products (Please Call) Soft (1.2mm)

The type of base the mattress is to go onto will also affect the feel of the mattress.   Our Artisan Range of mattresses are made to go onto a sprung divan base although they can go onto any bases.   If the mattress is to go onto a slatted/solid base, this will firm the mattress up again.

I hope the above is of assistance to you, but please do not hesitate to contact the office should you require any further information, on 0161 437 4419.

Kind regards Julie
