Choosing a mattress

I weigh 7.8 stone and my wife weighs 9.5-10.5 stone so we need a mattress which is soft on one side and firm on the other. Having read your replies to faq's we would like calico pocket springs so our choice is narrowed to the Artisan Bespoke or Luxury mattresses. Because we are side/back sleepers, you said to be sure to choose a mattress which was not too firm in the upper layers. Is the Bespoke 004 not too firm in the upper layers or would it be suitable for us? If it would be suitable, what would we notice if we bought a Luxury, Bespoke or bespoke 002

At the body weights you have provided, you are a soft spring tension and your wife is a medium spring tension. This is determined solely by your body weight and will not affect the overall firmness of the mattress.

As you have a preference for calico encased pocket springs you have a few options available to yourselves. These would be the; Artisan Naturals, Artisan Bespoke 004, Artisan Bespoke 002, Artisan Luxury & the Artisan Bespoke
The overall comfort in these mattresses differs from style to style. As you are predominantly back/side sleepers I wouldn't recommend anything too firm in that upper layer, which would exclude the Artisan Bespoke. You may be best served to try 3 mattresses from the Vispring range to gauge your preference in the comfort layers. The mattresses I would advise you to try are as follows;
Vispring Devonshire - Soft in upper layers - Comparable with the Artisan Luxury
Vispring Regal Superb - True medium in upper layers - Comparable with Artisan Naturals
Vispring Herald - Firm in the upper layers - Comparable with the Artisan Bespoke
