The models you're looking at are all pretty much sublime. They all have either a medium or medium soft feel in the comfort layers and a variety of spring tensions to suit your bodyweight. Trying to compare them is a bit like splitting golden hairs. However, we can provide some more detail to maybe help your decision!

Savoir No 2 The Icon Mattress Technical Specifications

HW TOPPER (Horsetail and Wool)

MATTRESS

• Hand-tied, 7.5-turn pocket springs
• Masses of hand-laid, long, loose horse tail, with cotton and wool

• Grade 1 pine frame, screwed and glued Independent 8”/20cm hourglass springs

The Savoir No 2 is hand made in the UK in London. Savoir beds are most famously known as creating the beds for the Savoy when they first opened, still found in their high-end hotel suites to this day!

The finishing and hand detailing are exquisite on the Savoir mattress range. Their star lashed base using hourglass springs is a real beautiful touch. This mattress provides a soft sink and medium support for the sleeper. Each mattress is hand signed by the maker when it is ready to be dispatched. 80 hours go into making the mattress and base which is a mean feat!

Savoir No3 Mattress Specifications

There are fewer details available about the Savoir No3 mattress. It's slightly more elusive! However, its a medium feel in the upholstery layer and again features a box base, mattress and topper combination.

Mattress:
The No3 mattress is packed with premium natural fillings – horse tail and layers of cotton and wool – to cushion your curves and control heat and moisture during the night, leaving you warm in winter and cool in the summer. These are complemented by contour-hugging pocket springs providing essential support.

Topper:
The original Savoir topper, mountains of long, loose, hand teasing horse tail are wrapped in soft lambswool and tufted into our trademark Trellis ticking, with gorgeous results. The HW Topper helps to achieve a better sleeping position with the feet slightly elevated; this aids blood circulation, which in turn improves the quality of sleep.

Boxspring:
The No3 boxspring boasts a hair roll, carefully stuffed and stitched by hand. The hourglass springs are star-lashed, involving hand-tying the springs to each other and to the frame at exactly the right tension in a radial pattern.

Savoir No 4 Mattress Specifications

The No4 Savoir bed doesn't openly list its components in the same way as the No2 does. Were not quite sure. There is the following description though and again its a base, mattress and topper combination. It feels a bit softer than the No2 Savoir mattress.

Nested pocket springs are sandwiched between generous layers of lambswool, needled cotton and curled hair; hand tufting, cotton jacquard Trellis ticking.
