Mattress depths

My one year old Hestia mattress is too high and heavy. It is 30 cm (12 inches) deep. Too high for my stature (5 ft) and my age (83) to get onto without climbing on a stool. Also too heavy for me to tuck my flat sheet under. I need a mattress not more than 20 cm (8 inches) deep. NO memory foam. My best ever mattress was a Dunlopillo, but cannot use as have a hard divan base. Have you anything that would meet my needs?

Hi Sandra,

Thank you for your question.

Unfortunately our mattresses would also be to deep for you as they are between 11 - 13 inches in depth.

You could always consider opting for a lower base to get the desired height rather than a thin mattress?

We can offer bases made to a bespoke height, the lowest height we can make is a base of 6 inches plus 2 inches for the castors or feet (8 inches overall) There would be an additional cost to make a lowered base and the item would not be covered under our 60 night love it or return it guarantee as it will be a bespoke item.

We compare the models in our Fusion range to some of the models in the Dunlopillo range. Our Fusion mattresses are still deeper than your desired depth however at 23cm in total (18cm solid core 100% natural latex, 5cm topper). There is no reason why you could not use our Fusion mattresses with your solid divan base.

If you would like to discuss this in more detail please do not hesitate to contact me on 0161 437 4419.

Kind regards,
Amy.
