Hi, firstly what a fantastic site John Ryan, I wish I had found this earlier as I've recently, 6 months ago, purchased a memory foam bed from Bensons that was less than ideal!!

I have back problems and the sales assistant told me the igel would be great for that. I bought the iGel Atalanta in a divan set for £1499. I'm still finding it quite hot and that I struggle to move in it, its a bit like quick sand at times, which is making my back pain worse!!

I've tried seeing if they will replace it but its been a bit of a struggle and I've kind of given up. I'm thinking of putting it in my spare room and forgetting about the dreadful purchase!

I really wish I'd done my research rather than just seeing the sale and discount sign!!!

I've heard latex is a better material and I really would like to find out more, what would you recommend?

Hi Sally,

Sorry to hear you're struggling with your current mattress.

One feature of any foam is that they do retain heat to certain degrees. memory foam is one of the hottest; hybrid foams reduce this heat due to some of them having a lower Visco-elastic threshold such as Coolblue, or non-heat retentive such as Laygel.

One of the coolest materials is Natural Latex as its breathable. Latex also offers great progressive comfort such as the initial soft sink followed by support. As such this is the reason we have our Fusion range of mattresses; This range is 100% natural latex with 4 different models and 4 different feels dependent upon your needs and sleeping habits.

You don't need multiple layers with quality natural solid core latex as latex has everything it needs to provide comfort and support.

We also match our range with latex toppers which increases the comfort even further adding a softer top layer.

I would need to know your weight and preferred tension to properly advise, that said each product in the shop has a weight guide and tension.

Please get back in touch if you need any further help. Our office is open Monday to Friday 8 am to 8 pm and Saturday and Sunday 10 am to 4 pm.

Kind Regards, Lee.
