Replacing an Otty mattress that is uncomfortable to sleep on

Hi, I’m looking for advice on a mattress, I have a slatted bed, I have a Sealy mattress that is 9 years old and needs to be replaced. I ordered an OTTY on the recommendation of my brother but I don’t like the feel. I think I prefer pocket sprung. I sleep on my back and side and need a king size. I like the feel of pillow top but I also like support. I liked the feel of the staples bespoke ones in Bensons for beds but wasn’t sure if they were worth the money. My husband doesn’t care and would sleep on anything.
Could you recommend a mattress, I’m desperate for a good nights sleep!

Thanks for your question about replacing your Otty mattress. We get a lot of people that complain that Otty and other 'bed in a box companies' products are not suitable for them. Usually, this is due to the heat retention of memory foam and also the fact they can feel quite dead when compared to a traditional pocket sprung fibre mattress.
Ideally, we would need to know your body weight and height to fully advise. However, from the Staples collection at Bensons that you like we can make an estimated guess! As these are in a similar price range to our Artisan range of pocket sprung mattresses.
Word of warning about Pillowtop Mattresses:
The Staples Bespoke Collection of mattresses from Bensons are all primarily one-sided pillow top models. We don't make nor design any mattresses with pillowtops. This is because they are a primary point of weakness and fail incredibly quickly after their initial comfort. Watch the guide below for more detail on this issue.

If you want that super soft sink pillowtop feel you can always add a removable wool or feather topper to this to get that feeling without the drawbacks. This is because you can take the topper off, shake and re-fluff it and replace it over time if needed. With a pillowtop, you can never do this.
