Questions about Sealy Gel Tech mattresses

A customer asked

Hi, our current bed is a traditional firm king size bed, but gives me a bad back as a side sleeper, with the bedd offering little support in the dip between hips and shoulders. I'm also a 'hot sleeper' so am worried about going for anything hotter than a traditional wool filled mattress. We've been looking at a sealy santiago with geltech?

I think?

what would be your advice and equivalent product?

Thanks

Hi Jonathan,

Thank you for your question.  I'd need to know your body weight(s) to fully advise on which model is suitable.  This is so we can get the right spring tension to give you the correct support.

Bodyweight Spring tension
Upto 16 Stone / 50-101kg Medium (1.4mm)
16 Stone / 101kg Upwards Firm (1.6mm)
Available in Bespoke Products (Please Call) Soft (1.2mm)

I can make some assumptions however.

As you are a hot sleeper I'd avoid memory foam, which is heat retentive and even hybrid foams as they are much warmer than natural fibres.  Natural fibers offer the coolest sleep surface.

Fusion 3

I would however consider Natural Latex which is much cooler than say geltech, which is a kind of hybrid foam.  Have a look at a Fusion range as a place to start for latex mattresses

Please call the office on 0161 437 4419 with your body weight(s) and comfort preferences so we can advise you fully, Our office hours are 8 am - 8 pm Monday to Friday and 10 am - 4 pm Saturday and Sunday.

Kind Regards

Michaela
