Good Morning Emma,

Thank you for your questions.

A standard King Size mattress measurement is 152cm x 198cm. If you were looking at increasing the width slightly then it can be done but only in our Artisan range for an additional 10% per additional 6" on the standard price.

With this though I have to advise that there is no 60 day love it or return it guarantee on it because it's a custom made item and we have limited resale opportunity on it.

Anyone with back pains should be avoiding any mattress too firm in it's top upholstery as it will only serve to make those pains worse.

Usually, we'd say go for something more medium feeling; Providing support but also with a bit of give.

As such and with the body weights provided you both need a Medium spring tension to give you the right level of support. I would then guide you to our Artisan Tailored Pocket 2000 and our Artisan Naturals mattresses. Both are classed as medium feels but the Naturals is slightly softer than the Tailored Pocket. The Naturals is also our best selling model.

As part of maintenance and care we also fully advise to flip the mattress once a month in the first year in order to evenly distribute any wear and tear across both sides of it. This should effectively iron out any dips or natural settlement.

I hope this has answered your questions fully but if you do have any further queries then please don't hesitate to contact me on 0161 437 4419.

Kind Regards, Lee.
