Hi I stumbled across your site looking for price comparisons for the Hypnos pillow top mattress I had just fallen in love with. You have completely convinced me I was just about to make a costly mistake, but am now more confused than ever. Originally I was after a memory foam mattress, but had decided against that even before I saw your comments. I have also considered buying an ex-trial mattress from Back in action as I would qualify from VAT exemption on health grounds, but then started to wonder why they had so many returns to sell on. Then I thought I should probably try some mattresses (doh!) and the Hypnos reminded me of a bed I stayed in on a once-in-a-lifetime break at a hotel where the room price was more than some of your range!

I'm now convinced I really need another pocket sprung mattress, but which one?

I'm 11 stone and presently there's just me and the dog to consider, although I'd hate to alienate any potential future partners buy investing in a mattress that is too soft for them (yes I know the dog is just as likely to do that!

I'm working on it, but he's very cute when he's sleeping...) I've always used a mattress protector and will now probably buy a topper as well to try and recapture that 'hotel' feel but can you advise me which of your range would work best for me?

I was planning to spend up to £600, but can stretch to around £1000 all in. I'm allergic to latex so that's out and I'm a little unsure about your Artisan Tailored Pocket. I need a king size mattress for my wooden slatted base. I don't like divan bases. Sorry to go on, but having found your site and spending hours reading your advice and comments you have only yourselves to blame!

Oh and I need something ASAP as I move into a new property on Thursday and currently only have a base!
