We need a double mattress for a wooden slated bed. Husband is 6ft 16st. I'm 5ft6 8.5st. Both like pocket sprung, dislike memory foam. Husband tends to like firm, whereas I prefer medium to medium firm. Have tried one in a high street shop, but wondering what JR could recommend and don't know where to start.

Thank you for your enquiry. With your particular body weights and your specified preferred feel, I would suggest a medium spring tension for you both and would direct you towards our Artisan Bespoke, which even in a medium spring tension has firmer upholstery layers making it more suited to your requirements. If, however, you were to consider a split spring tension, such mattresses are only available in king size and above.
