Choosing between Artisan Natural VS Artisan bespoke 004 Vs Latex Fusion 3.
Myself: 9stone -(side sleeper) prefer Medium Firm mattress
Husband: 11/12 stone (back sleeper) -prefer very Firm mattress/orthophedic.
Current mattress: Heirloom Pocket sprung from Bensons – Medium Soft tension.
Hi, Sorry this isn’t the first time I asked question on the website, as I still cannot decide which one I should buy. After 5 months on this Heirloom mattress, I am giving up now, my neck/upper back issue still not going away. I must buy a new mattress.
I have problems with this Heirloom one, such as I am feeling a bit of pressure when I lie down on my side, only on the top part of my body (from arms down to before the elbow), it doesn’t bother me when I sleep. But I woke up with aching neck and upper back.
I am confused, because when we were renting, I used to sleep on standard coil spring mattress and also ikea mattress before we finally bought our new house. This Heirloom cost us £1200!, not sure why it turned out to be a nightmare??
So my questions now are:
1. I am thinking maybe because pocket sprung mattress is different to coil spring, (that our partner won’t feel anything when we move), this sort of restricts the responsive feel/ movements, and could be the reason why I am having back/neck issues? As the pressure pushes up against us?
2. Shall I go for Fusion 3 latex? is this a better choice for back pain issues?? I am a hot sleeper though. I love Tempur, but no way I can retain the heat.
3. Why is Artisan natural cheaper than Artisan Bespoke? aslo the difference between Mohair and Horsetail? Which one is better/more support?
4. After trying all Vispring at heals without looking at the price tag, I found Sublime Superb with medium tension is the most comfortable one. Is there any of your mattress that is closest to this? Price isn’t an issue for us. ready to invest in high quality mattress. But I believe vispring is way too overpriced.
5. How about all those online mattresses? Leesa VS simba vs Emma, etc. I found Sleepbear which is a combination of Latex and foam. Not sure if this could be a good choice for me
6. Which one of your mattresses you think will suits me best?
Last question, as i really need new mattress, how long is the wait if i want to order one of the 3 above mattresses?
Thank you very much for your help

Hi Von

Thanks for your question.

As you both like a totally different feel from your mattress, it is impossible to create in one mattress, so someone will have to compromise.

We couldn't even put your husband on to a firm spring as he is much too light, a firm spring is for body weights of 17 st and above.

Pocket springs are so much better than coil sprung mattresses. They do cut down on the transfer of movement and offer a better support level.

Latex has a totally different type of support than a more traditional pocket sprung mattress with fibres.

The best thing you could do at this stage is visit Furniture Village and try the Dunlopillo mattresses, and the Vi spring mattresses we compare to.

This will then give you more of an indication as to a preferred feel that you both like from your mattress.

The Artisan Naturals has a poly cotton layer instead of horsetail and this is why it is cheaper.

The only mattress in our range with a double layer of pocket springs is the Artisan Bespoke 002, but this model will have a firmer feel in the upholstery layers.

All the Fusion and Artisan models are delivered in around 4 weeks from the Thursday order date.

If you require any further assistance please call the office on 0161 437 4419.

Regards Gary
