Small guest bed with a pull out underneath help?

I’m looking for a small single guest bed, which has a pull out bed underneath which comes up to the same height as the initial single.
John Lewis and other companies have these. I’m looking for this for my three year old son, and was going to go for a springs/” title=”pocket spring”>pocket spring mattress for him. And wanting another pocket spring mattress for the guest bed, which we could zip together to make a double mattress/bed when we have friends over. (& three year old has to go in his brothers bed room!)
Someone suggested that the pocket spring mattress was not particularly well balanced on a divan base. Which for full time use would not be any good for three year old. I am now worried about purchasing online.
Can you help at all? You don’t seem to sell small single guest beds….

Thank you for your question on our website. Unfortunately, we do not manufacture the type of bed that you are looking for. However, with regard to the issue of pocket springs, we would recommend the Origins Comfort 1000 for children. This has the softest upholstery layers for comfort whilst having a medium spring tension. Children need a firmer support whilst their bones are still growing.
The size you require is not a standard size that we do but we could make this as a bespoke size item. There would be an additional cost of 10% per 6-inch increment of change and there would be no ’60 day love it or return it’ guarantee on any bespoke size item purchased.
There is no reason why you cannot use a pocket sprung mattress on a divan base, in fact, all of the mattresses we produce can go on this type of base. Pocket sprung mattresses, in particular, are designed for either a platform divan or a sprung divan. A pocket sprung base like our Artisan base will soften the feel of any mattress whereas a platform divan like our Contemporary Platform Divan will firm the overall feel slightly.
