Woolroom Mattress v Bespoke 02

Theresa

My current mattress is a Sleepeezee Sumatra and must be 25 years old and has been great, it's still really supportive and I love the fact I can be sleeping right up to the edge and it doesn't collapse like some I've been testing.

As I'm getting older my joints are starting to ache so I'm using a latex topper but I think I really need a new mattress I tried the Woolroom mattresses which I liked but unsure whether it was the Medium Oxford or Suffolk that I preferred. I'm wondering how these may compare to the Besoke 02 mattress, would it be supportive at the edges? Does it give a smooth supportive surface but still feel soft?

Any advice would be much appreciated as it feels strange to buy a mattress without trying it.

Kind regards
Theresa

Hi Theresa,

Thank you for your question.

The Artisan Bespoke 002 is our highest specification mattress that uses a double tier calico spring unit, combined with deep natural fibre comfort layers, for ultra responsiveness. The double tier spring unit provides a softer support than a single layer spring unit, the 002 is a medium feel in the comfort layers. The mattress cover is completely Chemical-Free using a Natural plant-based fire retardancy protection. This mattress comes with a 10 year manufacturer guarantee.

The closest comparable model we can find to this Artisan Bespoke 002 is The Vi-Spring Tiara Superb. There are of course a few minor differences between the two. For example in the AB-002 there is an additional layer of Bamboo, we utilise pure horsetail rather than blending it with wool etc. but essentially the overall tension, spring quality, build and feel of this particular mattress can rightly be deemed as relatively similar.

The Wool Room Oxford 9000 mattress has the same guarantee period as the Bespoke 002, they are both chemical free mattresses that contain fibres such as Wool and Cotton. However I have looked online at the Wool Room mattresses and although they list natural fibres as the fillings they do not give you the amounts by way of GSM which would make it a lot easier for me to compare with the Artisan Bespoke 002.

The Wool Room Suffolk 15000 also contains Wool and Egyptian Cotton with many other firbes but again it does not provide you with the GSM amounts. This mattress also has a 10 year guarantee period.

The Oxford 9000 and the Suffolk 15000 are both approximately 29cm in depth and contain a mix of standard pocket springs and HD springs whereas the Artisan Bespoke 002 is around 33 cm in depth and contains 2508 Vanadium coated, Calico encased Pocket springs (king size). Vanadium coating prevents the springs from rusting which increases longevity, the calico encased pocket springs are the superior spring system in mattress technology and are used by some of the most established mattress companies like ourselves and Vi Spring.

The Suffolk 15000 costing £1919.20 for a single, thw Oxford 9000 is closer in price to the Bespoke 002 at £1159.20 for a single size (with 20% off, usually 1449.00) Our Artisan Bespoke 002 stays at the affordable price of £1260 all year round!

I hope this helps to answer you question.
