Memory foam mattress is way too hot. Which Origins is cooler?
Hi,
I currently have a memory foam mattress and am finding it way too hot. Are both the origins 1000 and origins 1500 cool to sleep on, is one cooler than the other? Really like the look of the softer 1000 but wondering if it is significantly warmer than 1500 I am 10.5 stone and husband about 13 stone, both side sleepers.

Memory foam requires your body heat to mould to give your body comfort in the upper layers. This is the reason for your overheating.
The spring unit in the Origins range is set as medium support with varying levels of comfort being provided by the upholstery layers.
The Origins Comfort 1000 has the softest top layers to give that snuggle feel when sleeping on it whereas the Origins Pocket 1500 has slightly firmer upholstery layers providing an overall medium feel.
With your particular body weights, you both fall within the medium spring tension.

In terms of heat retention, the Origins Comfort 1000 would be slightly warmer. This is due to the Origins Pocket 1500 using a wool-silk blend.
