Looking to replace my mattresses, they are on a SKS slatted base
Would your latex mattress be suitable for the slatted bases and which would you recommend we have just been away and my husband loved it we had a good look and it said it was a water latex ortho 5 firmness 3 .I also slept well although I did sleep on top of the covers with another duvet folded in half which is how I sleep at home due to joint and neuropathic pain .this was on
I also slept well although I did sleep on top of the covers with another duvet folded in half which is how I sleep at home due to joint and neuropathic pain. This was on slats as is our bed so would be looking fit 2 x3 ft x 6ft 3 inch .
We also bought a vispring topper very expensive and I can’t sleep on it as it hurts so that is below all my padding !!I would be really grateful if you could recommend something from your range .
I think I have resigned myself to always having to sleep on padding my husband is a little over 13 stone and I vary from 9.8 to 10 stone.
Any advice would be great as I have read a lot of latex isn’t natural but I believe yours is.
Many thanks Jane Padgett
Sorry to hear of your discomfort. Latex is a brilliant material for progressive malleable comfort. It conforms very quickly to shoulders, hips and bums. It allows you to turn quickly so is great for people that may have had injuries or discomfort.
You would need to board your slats for any of our mattresses, especially latex.
Due to the fact our mattress are so full of fillings and natural components they are very heavy.
Our latex is 100% natural and they too are quite heavy.
Boarding over the slats is essential to prevent damage to the mattress over time and ensure that the mattress doesn’t get snagged or nipped by the slats.
Have a look at our Fusion 3 mattress which would be ideal for your weights and is a medium. It comes with a 100% natural latex topper which is soft and responsive, so maybe better than the vi-spring topper you’re struggling with.
Please get back in touch if you have any other questions.
Kind Regards Gary
All the best
