Which mattress has a luxurious soft sink feel in the upper layer?
We are looking to purchase a king size mattress with a luxurious soft sink feel in the upper layer, not bouncy/springy. I am 5 foot 2 inches and my husband is 5 foot 7 inches. We both weigh 10 stone. Our maximum budget for the mattress is £3000. Which mattress from your range would you recommend?

The softest upholstery layer mattress that we produce is the Artisan Luxury from our natural fibre range. It has deep sinking comfort layers comprising of British wool layered with horse hair and horsetail, The horse hair and horsetail layers provide support for the softer wool layers to prevent excess settlement. This is then topped off with a 50/50 blend of British wool and cotton.
With your body weights, we would pair you both with a medium spring tension to give you the correct level of support. The Artisan Luxury has one tier of calico pocket springs which does not give the bouncy feel of two tiers of springs. This mattress is designed for a pocket sprung base, if the base you are putting it on is a platform base then the overall feel of the mattress will be firmer.
